daffodils
Please follow the steps below to best care for your fresh cut daffodils
What to Expect Upon Arrival:
Daffodils arrive mostly closed to protect their petals during transport. They will begin to open once in your vase. We always include a couple extra flowers in each order in case some blooms get damaged in transport.
How to Make Your Daffodils Last:
- Sterilize your vase before every use as bacteria and fungus in your vase are the main reasons for early decline of flowers.
- Give your flowers a fresh cut at an angle before placing in a vase. We recommend placing in them in several vases so that they can have space to open up freely.
- After putting stems into water, leave your daffodils in a vase by themselves for 12 hours to allow them to rehydrate. If you are going to add the daffodils to arrangements with other flowers, keep the daffodils in a separate vase for the first 12 hours and then do not recut their stems . This will keep their thick sap from clogging up stems of other flowers.
- Be sure to change the initial Daffodil water to remove the sap bf adding in other flowers.
- Change vase water every few days and definitely top off the water daily.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Get creative! Collect foliage and other blooms from your yard to add to your Daffodils.
Enjoy!
